CYRUS WINS THE X FACTOR AU 2015

At first encounter (via his X Factor Australia audition) we immediately saw the necessary traits that make a winner and a star in CYRUS VILLANUEVA.

But then, ironically, several "X Factor-produced performances" got in fast-tracking his way to stardom.

And we were worried as he slowly but surely went down in our patented star value rankings.

Down until the grand finals when the song list for each artists (Cyrus, Matt and Jess and Louise) were published and ONE SONG captured our attention and convinced us that Cyrus is BACK in WINNING FORM!

A RETURN TO HIS FORM

For the grand finals, Cyrus is singing "Jealous", a song that he has been singing BEFORE his entry in The X Factor Australia as shown in his own Youtube channel. This is the kind of song that brings out the true Cyrus as an artist, the unique, vulnerable yet intensely engaging artist that we immediately noticed during his audition.

During his X Factor performances, he was obviously "repackaged" to a more "pop" and "boybandish" type of star (ala-Justin Bieber, good heavens!) which was a letdown. THANKFULLY, on grand finals night, we believe Cyrus was finally allowed to be himself again, thus the choice of "Jealous" in his repertoire.
